01/20/2022AEG was retained as Chief Restructuring Officer for a Midwest based distributor of building products for the residential construction market. At the time AEG stepped into the role, negotiations between the lender and Company had broken down. AEG moved quickly to assess and manage liquidity while reestablishing communication lines with the lender. After negotiating a forbearance agreement, AEG focused on stabilizing the business, improving working capital management and rationalizing the cost structure while positioning the business for a sale. At the same time, AEG orchestrated the sale of a series of non-core assets, including industrial equipment and commercial real estate.
